I’ve decided to start taking weekly pictures of Margot for her first year so we can have a fun collection of photos next summer! Nathan and I are both skeptical that we’ll actually end up with 52 of these, but we’ll see how far we can get. Here’s week number one:
We were simultaneously fighting off Charlie from “snuggling” with her, trying to get her to look at the camera, and having a good laugh that I just split my pants right up the back. Oops! It was quite the eventful 10 minutes.
Some things heard around our house this week:
Charlie: I sit with Margot, I play with Margot, I cry with Margot
Me: What does Margot do, Charlie?
Me: She eats and she sleeps!
Charlie: And she cries!
While feeding her:
Charlie: Margot Margot! You’re eating Mama!
This big brother really loves his sister!
Margot has surprised us all and is so far a wonderful sleeper! She only wakes up twice at night to eat and goes right back to bed when she’s finished. Hopefully we can keep this trend going!
The four of us ventured out for our first family outing this morning. Stop 1 was the library to get Charlies some new books (and visit the rooster in the parking lot!) and stop 2 was a quick trip into Target. It was a success! However, it did make it much more real that at some point very soon, I will be doing that on my own. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it! We are so lucky that Nathan has the entire month off for his paternity leave!
