Easter Recap

We had a wonderful Easter at our house this year! It was our first time hosting a holiday at our house and I think everyone had a great time. Lisa came over on Friday and spent the weekend with us. She came to swimming lessons with us on Saturday morning and went all over town running errands with us that afternoon.

Charlie opened up his Easter basket right after he got up.

He was pretty pumped about the whole idea. He got an Easter plate, the Binky book, and Elmo fork and spoon set. Candy for mom and dad :)

We went to mass at 8 on Easter. Our church has just moved into its new building and it was only the third mass held there! (right behind Holy Thursday and Good Friday) Lisa was able to snap this picture of us. We’re all kind of looking, that makes it a great picture. That green blur is a bubble wand that Charlie had to hold so that he wouldn’t cry.

All the grandparents arrived around 2 and we had ham, green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes (Charlie’s favorite), salad, rolls, and for dessert: brownies and homemade ice cream. YUM! Charlie loved his first taste of ice cream. Somehow I didn’t take any pictures when everyone was here, but here’s one of Charlie doing one of his favorite things, trying to wear our shoes. While wearing a miniature cowboy hat and his Ricky Martin Latin lover shirt. Keeping it classy!
